Antisocial Behaviour (ASB) is defined as any action that has caused or is expected to cause harassment, alarm, or distress to another person. ASB encompasses a range of activities, including but not limited to violence, verbal abuse, harassment, hate crimes, domestic abuse, the use and sale of illegal substances such as drugs, noise disturbance, nuisance caused by vehicles, and damage to property.

To ensure a prompt and effective investigation of any reported Antisocial Behaviour (ASB), it is crucial that you provide us with as much relevant information as possible. Failing to do so may result in delays or impact the outcome of your complaint. We kindly request that you provide us with the following details:

  • Your full name, address, and contact number.
  • The name of the person causing the nuisance, if known.
  • The address of the person or location that you are complaining about.
  • The nature of the nuisance, such as Noise, Harassment, Violence, Drug Use, or any other form of ASB.
  • The dates, frequency, and duration of the nuisance.
  • Whether you have experienced this type of behaviour before.
  • Any other pertinent information, including whether you have asked the individual(s) to stop, whether you have reported this matter previously, and whether other authorities are aware of this issue (please include any relevant crime reference numbers).

We treat all reports of Antisocial Behaviour (ASB) with strict confidentiality during our investigation process. However, we kindly request that you provide us with your contact information so that we can keep you updated on the progress of the investigation and request any further information if necessary. This will enable us to conduct a thorough and effective investigation into the reported ASB.

Do you have a noise complaint?

If your complaint is in relation to noise nuisance you can download ‘The noise app’. This app uses your smartphone to make recordings of noise nuisance which can be sent directly to us. We will be able to investigate these recordings and keep you informed throughout the investigation.
