At Bron Afon, we take the safety and well-being of our rent customers very seriously.
Turning taps off and supervising children when using the bath are what usually come to mind. But, there are areas of water safety that we don’t often think about, things like legionella.
We carry out risk assessments on the water systems in our buildings to make sure the water supply is safe. If these assessments identify a risk, we will either remove that risk or carry out a regular programme to control it. This could include regularly cleaning tanks and testing water samples.
We are committed to ensuring you live in a safe, functional and comfortable environment. It’s important to familiarise yourself with the exit routes for your home, what the fire policy is whether to ‘Stay Put’ or ‘Evacuate’ and how to call the Fire Service in the event of a fire.

The customer safety handbook shows you how to keep yourself and your home safe from the risks of fire, electricity, gas and more.
Water Safety in your Property
Water damage is one of the common causes of property related loss, though it isn’t strictly a seasonal threat. Whilst preparing your home for winter is important, homes left unattended during summer months often mean unidentified leaks cause extensive damage. Use these simple steps to ensure your home is protected against water damage year round.
No matter how careful you are, there’s always a risk that your belongings could be broken, damaged or stolen. Home contents insurance can help provide peace of mind that your belongings will be protected in the event of damage.
