We’re a not-for-profit social enterprise, registered social landlord and community mutual organisation.

What we do

We manage and maintain over 8,000 homes across Torfaen. But we do so much more than that. We work hard with our partners to help make a real difference to the lives of people in our communities.

We’re all about

Providing quality homes in strong, safe communities.
Giving a little extra support to those who need it.

Doing our bit to tackle the housing crisis by building energy efficient, sustainable homes.
Listening to our customers and involving them in decisions that affect them.

And one thing is for sure – whether you’re already renting a home from us, are looking to put down roots with your family or are starting a new chapter by yourself, we’re here to help you every step of the way.

This strategy explains how we plan to meet the housing and support needs of people living in Torfaen.

Since April 2017, Community Housing Cymru (CHC) has shared a pay report for managers in Welsh housing groups.

Bron Afon follows the rule that Welsh and English must be treated equally when doing public business in Wales.

In 2024 / 25 Bron Afon has received £5.8 million in dowry gap funding from the Welsh Government which will be spent on WHQS improvement schemes.

These are updated guidelines from the Welsh Government that set out what is expected of social landlords to ensure homes are safe, high quality, and support the health and wellbeing of tenants.

The Rules of Bron Afon define how the organisation operates, setting out clear principles of governance and accountability.
