Keeping your home in good condition is our top priority.

To meet Welsh Housing Quality Standards, we are continuing to invest in your homes and improve our communities.

As we deliver these improvements, here’s what you can expect:

Our plan to invest in your homes

  • We will review our improvement plan regularly. This helps us keep track of progress and make changes based on new information from our teams and from you, as our customers.

 Our timelines

  • Some things, such as severe weather or having to be flexible with our planning, may slow us down or mean things shift in priority.
  • When this happens, we’ll stay flexible and work to minimise delays.  We will continue to deliver improvements that provide the best value for you.

Key projects on the 2026/27 programme include:

  • Kitchens: We will start a major programme of kitchen replacements in 2026–27, which will be delivered in line with the Welsh Government’s regulations. Kitchens will be replaced every 16 years, based on how much life they have left. Any kitchen more than 16 years old will only be kept if it is still in good condition.
  • External works and fencing:  We see the need for fencing improvements and aim to make a major investment in fencing and external improvements over the next 5 years. We’ll start in 2026, working area by area, following some priority works that we started at the end of 2025.
  • Fire doors:  We have been replacing fire doors based on our fire risk assessments. From 2026, we have a focused programme to replace all front doors that are fire doors over the next 5 years, following our risk-based approach.   year programme to replace fire doors in lowrise flats
  • Decarbonisation: We will also begin a 10-year programme focused on making homes more energy efficient, including installing more solar PV systems where possible on customers’ homes.

This programme may change as we prioritise new needs but we’ll make sure you are kept informed every step of the way.
