Get support if you are struggling

We know times are tight for many of our customers. If you’re struggling with your energy and water bills, or if you need a voucher for a local foodbank, there is support available.

The Priority Services Register

The Priority Services Register (PSR) is a free service you can join that provides extra advice and support, including when there’s an interruption to your electricity or gas supply.  Find out if you are eligible to register for PSR services here

Help and Resources

The Welsh Government’s Discretionary Assistance Fund (DAF) | GOV.WALES gives you access to the Emergency Assistance Payment, which you can use to pay for food, utilities, and emergency travel. 

Dwr Cymru: HelpU Tariff 

Welsh Water’s HelpU tariff can reduce your rates if you’re on a low income.

Citizens Advice Torfaen can issue vouchers for free electricity and gas, and food vouchers for the Trussell Trust

Vulnerability Initiative – to access free financial aid, energy-saving solutions, and support through challenging times if you are feeling vulnerable.

Live Fear Free helpline | GOV.WALES – to access free advice and support if you, a family member or a friend has experienced domestic abuse or sexual violence.

Housing Advice | Torfaen County Borough Council – to access other housing related support services if in urgent need.
