Join us for a leisurely walk through Blaenserchan Valley.

In Our Nature CIC is a Community Interest Company, run by Veronika Brannovic, Natasha Harris and Gavin Vella.

It supports people who are looking to improve their well-being through contact with nature. They develop resources that local communities can download and use to discover and explore their local area, focusing on the nature that is right on their doorstep.

They’re also running guided walks and workshops (within COVID-19 guidelines) in the spring. Bron Afon has worked with In Our Nature CIC to fund a guided walk through Blaenserchan Valley on Tuesday, February 15th, 2022.

The walk starts at 10:00 am and finishes at 12:00 pm, and it is free.

Learn how to ID early Spring Birds by their song. It’s a great time of year to start learning how to identify birdsong whilst there aren’t as many birds singing and before we get bombarded with spring migratory birds that usually don’t arrive till April / May.

  • Walk Difficulty: There’s a short 3 minute, 16-meter incline at the very beginning of the walk, from there onwards it’s all flat and tarmac. At any time you are free to leave the walk and head back but we aim to be back by 12pm.

  • Facilities: There are no shops nearby so please bring food and drink and appropriate outdoor clothing.

  • Access: **Confirmation needed for disability access ** Key may be needed

  • Toilets: No

  • Parking: You can see this on the google map link shared below that there is room for 10+ cars alongside the road but there is also a small designated car park to the left of the entrance gate, before the private driveway.

You can find out more and view the walk location on the In Our Nature CIC website and sign up for this free walk.
