What do I put into my brown caddy?

The 23 litre brown caddie is for all your food waste. You can check what can and can’t be put in the caddy below:

Yes Please

  • Kitchen Food Scraps (all cooked and uncooked food)
  • Vegetables & fruit
  • Meat, fish & bones
  • Cheese & egg shells
  • Bread, cereal & cakes
  • Pasta & rice
  • Tea bags & coffee grounds
  • Other plate scrapings

No Thank You

  • Any liquid (including fat)
  • Animal waste

Caddy liners

Food caddy liners are available to collect free of charge at the Civic Centre in Pontypool, Blaenavon Medical Resource Centre and the Customer Care Centre in Cwmbran. They can also be collected from the household waste recycling centre in New Inn on weekends.

Residents must provide proof of residency in Torfaen, such as a utility bill, and can collect one roll at a time.
