At Bron Afon, we are committed to ensuring our homes meet the latest standards set by Welsh Government.
As part of this commitment, we are fully aligning with the updated Welsh Housing Quality Standards (WHQS) 2023.
Introduced to improve the quality of social housing, WHQS 2023 builds upon the original 2002 standard. This new version places an increased emphasis on decarbonisation, energy efficiency, and customer wellbeing, while still maintaining the core elements of safe, secure, and comfortable homes.
In addition to improving housing quality, WHQS 2023 introduces new requirements around affordability, environmental impact, and customer engagement. We encourage our customers to take an active role in shaping the services we provide, making sure their voices are heard as we work towards full compliance by 2034.

At Bron Afon, we’re proud to play our part in creating a future where homes are not only well-maintained but also contribute to the decarbonisation efforts, safeguarding both our customers and the environment.
