Sheltered Housing open days
Over seven hundred people who are on the waiting list for a sheltered housing home in Torfaen have been invited to an open day. Bron Afon Community Housing manages 910 homes in 39 schemes across the area.
Two open days have been organised so people who are interested in these type of homes can find out more and ask questions. Visitors will also be able to find out what local services are currently available for older people.
Bron Afon wants to find out the kind of housing and support future residents want and will need in the future so it can plan and develop services.
Duncan Forbes, Chief Executive, said: “We have written to everyone on our waiting list and asked them to come along on one of the days. It will be a chance to speak to our officers who work in sheltered housing and ask questions. The information that we collect over the two days will help us improve our services to older people.”
The two events are on:
Monday 9 February at the Millennium Hall, Top Road, Garndiffaith.
Tuesday 10 February at Bron Afon’s Headquarters in William Brown Close, Llantarnam Industrial Park, Cwmbran.
There are two sessions at each event, 10am to 12pm, and then 1pm to 3pm.
