Torfaen homeowners can save cash on their home improvements thanks to Bron Afon Community Housing. Tenants across the county borough are having their homes refurbished and brought up to the standards set by the Welsh Assembly Government.
The contractors carrying out the work on behalf of Bron Afon have agreed to give private homeowners in Torfaen a discount on windows, doors, kitchens and bathrooms. The contractors are delivering flyers to homes in the areas where they are working on tenants’ homes which contain their contact details and an example of typical discount.
Duncan Forbes, Chief Executive of Bron Afon Community Housing, said: “The work we are doing to our tenants’ home is already making a big difference to improve the look of many streets and estates.
“We spoke to our contractors and were able to negotiate a generous discount for homeowners, many of whom will have seen their tenant next door neighbours having new windows and doors fitted. These homeowners can now help transform the look of their streets by having similar work to their homes at a reduced price.”
